As many of you already know, I’m the Virginia organizer for Americans for Democratic Action (ADA). While we’ve been around since the 1950’s and have been active in Virginia in the past (I worked for them back in ’08 and ’09), we’ve been refocusing our efforts on the Commonwealth over the last few months.
That’s because we as Virginians have a unique opportunity to send a message to the entire country through the state elections we have this November. As you might have heard me say before, this is the first major referendum on the Trump Administration and we’re working to make sure we send a positive message.
We at ADA also realize that we cannot focus in on just one election if we want to genuinely improve our community, so we’ll be sticking around for years to come to help improve the Commonwealth of Virginia. We’ve been standing up for progressive values since the 1950’s and know you have to commit to long term action if you want to have a major impact.
With all that in mind, we’ll be kicking off our major efforts for Virginia on April 8th at the Gum Spring Library (located right off Rt. 50 in the Ashburn area) starting at 1pm. We’ll discuss ways to resist the Trump Administration, build long term power, and learn about the elections here in Virginia.
You can RSVP by following this link or by emailing me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to seeing many of you there.
